The People Behind the Benefits: Celebrating Social Media Day

ACI Specialty Benefits prides itself on being at the forefront of social media and recently welcomed Social Media Manager Melissa Artobello to take ACI’s social media to the next level.  With a strategic combination of fun, insightful and engaging content across Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, Melissa is engaging new audiences and shining a spotlight on the dedicated people that make up the heart of ACI.

For the past few months, employees have been encouraged to share photos from vacations and business trips, pictures of their petshobbieschildren and grandchildren. In doing so, ACI’s audience gets a behind-the-scenes look at the people who work day in and day out to provide innovative benefits and support services to ACI’s customers. This integration of social media into the company culture has not only increased engagement across all platforms, but has also helped bring people together internally. The company as a whole has become more social, everyone is celebrating each other’s successes, and employees are strengthening relationships.

In honor of Social Media Day, here are a few highlights from this year:

National Puppy DayIf there’s one thing ACI employees can’t get enough of, it’s pictures of their dogs. For National Puppy Day, everyone was submitting cute puppy pics. It didn’t stop either. It’s almost like every day is National Puppy Day at ACI.

National Brothers and Sisters Day: ACI employees submitted sentimental sibling photos, from weddings and reunions, and some even dating as far back as the 70s and 80s.

Starbucks Fanatics: Whenever there’s a new Starbucks drink, there’s no doubt somebody from ACI is first in line to try it. Employees have shared their reviews on the Unicorn Frappuccino, the Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino, the pink drink and all its variations and summer blended frappes.

Star Wars DayACI has some serious Star Wars fans. Employees sent in Halloween pictures of babies dressed as R2D2 and family portraits where everyone was a different Star Wars character.

Volunteering: ACI helps people every day during work hours, but the company encourages its employees to give back in their free time as well. ACI’s marketing department volunteered at the San Diego Food Bank, packing 6,000 pounds of plums for the community.

From weekend plans to favorite restaurants, ACI employees are excited to share their stories. ACI is proud to be one of the few EAP providers to have a strong social media presence and will continue to provide insightful, engaging and fun content to its audience.
