Accept What You Cannot Change

If you feel controlled by your circumstances in a particular situation, it’s important to be able to accept that you may not be able to change it.

Try the following exercise:

  1. Take two deep-belly breaths and think of something beautiful in your life.
  2. Remind yourself that to solve the problem you need serenity and wisdom, not anger or despair.
  3. Ask yourself, “If I can’t change this situation, what can I do to make peace with it?”
  4. Fully accept your life in body, mind, and spirit.
