Accept What You Cannot Change
If you feel controlled by your circumstances in a particular situation, it’s important to be able to accept that you may not be able to change it.
Try the following exercise:
- Take two deep-belly breaths and think of something beautiful in your life.
- Remind yourself that to solve the problem you need serenity and wisdom, not anger or despair.
- Ask yourself, “If I can’t change this situation, what can I do to make peace with it?”
- Fully accept your life in body, mind, and spirit.
