ACI Extends Services to Those Affected by Sandy Hook Tragedy

December 17, 2012      |      Posted on Posted in Total Well-Being

Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends,

It seems we’ve endured far too many senseless tragedies and random acts of violence in the past few years, but none as jarring and heartbreaking as the recent loss of so many young lives at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Watching the grieving families on TV and reading their painful stories have deeply affected parents, families, and loved ones across the nation and around the world.

At ACI, our hearts, thoughts and deepest condolences are with the victims, families and all those impacted by the Sandy Hook tragedy.  In these trying times, ACI would like to remind clients that ACI’s clinicians are on-hand 24/7 to assist employees and all family members in dealing with difficult emotions in the days and weeks ahead.

To help restore a sense of security at the workplace and home, ACI is sharing a crisis response packet that includes information and materials about coping with national tragedies (page 2), talking to children about traumatic events (page 4), and the manager’s role in helping employees cope with fear (page 9).
