San Diego, CA/November 5, 2012 – ACI Specialty Benefits publishes the “Push for Platinum Success” CORE Wellness Case Study highlighting an incentive program with Alliance Beverage Distributing Company and Duley Bolwar & Associates that achieved an astounding 83% participation rate.

Through completion of various parts of the CORE Wellness initiatives, employees and their spouses at ABDC were able to qualify for lower health care deductibles, resulting in participation more than seven times industry averages.

“We are very excited by the turnout at ABDC,” says ACI Wellness Director Alison Viebrock. “The participation results far exceed industry standards. It’s a real testament to the high level of customization in tailoring the incentive design to fit ABDC’s wellness needs.”

The study offers surprising results: Of three separate deductible plans offered, 636 of 837 total employees and spouses qualified for the highest-covered Platinum plan. 83% of all employees and spouses participated in the initiative as compared with the national average wellness participation rate of about 5%-25%, according to an article by Towers Watson.

The ACI Wellness Team also received a great deal of positive feedback from employees. One in particular was able to assess his need for reduced blood pressure and then act on it with the help of an ACI Wellness Coach, losing more than 14 pounds and preparing for a 5k race in the process.
