ACI Teams with Civilian Military to Promote Health, Wellness

The key to making a difference in any situation is simple–get involved.  In the spirit of making a healthy difference in clients’ lives, ACI Specialty Benefits teamed up with the local branch of US Joiner/Turnbull LLC, a marine vessel outfitter, to promote health and wellness among their employees and family members at their Employee and Family Appreciation Day.

US Joiner employees doing Zumba after lunchThe event was held at a local park, and featured a number of different activities and healthy food options.  Among the activities were a Zumba dance class, a Martial Arts lesson, as well as a number of fun activities to get the children active and engaged.

“Getting outside and being able to work with children and adults in a fun and healthy way is one of the great parts of my job,” says Wellness Coach Dan Trongone, “It’s very rewarding to see the results of our coaching up close, and even more exciting to know that because of our efforts today, the next wellness coaching success stories are right in front of us.”

Aside from the activities, employees were also able to learn more about their wellness program offered to them from ACI.  Employees learned about finding healthy food options, creating a successful wellness plan, and several signed up for the professional support offered by ACI’s expert Wellness Coaches.

ACI Wellness Coach Dan offers some nutritional advice during the eventOne employee, Christina Garcia, had already reached out for coaching and has lost over 20 pounds!  By reaching out for help, and utilizing her Wellness Coach for advice and motivation, Christina is well on her way to living a healthier lifestyle.
