Free and Easy Sleep Hacks
Here are a few easy (and free!) ideas to improve sleep naturally.
- No coffee after 2 PM: It might be hard, but staying away from caffeine late in the day will pay off at bedtime.
- No workouts before bed: Try working out earlier in the day to give adrenaline levels, core body temperature and heart rate ample time to come down.
- Pitch black room: A dark room will help the body produce melatonin, the chemical needed to regulate sleep.
- Sleep apps: Use apps to track sleep patterns and habits, and to wake up at the right time without feeling groggy.
- Avoid blue light: Stay away from televisions, computers and phones. If screen time is unavoidable, try using blue light blocking glasses before bed.
