Improve Your Memory Using Simple Meditation
Recent studies suggest that meditators may be benefiting from changes in their brains. Those who meditated for about 30 minutes a day for eight weeks had measurable changes in parts of the brain associated with memory, sense of self, empathy and stress.
Don’t know how to start meditating?
Here are a few simple steps to get you started!
- Sit upright on a chair or the floor and in silence.
- Use different objects to focus your attention such as focusing on sensations of breathing, emotions, thoughts or observing any type of body sensations.
- It is common for the mind to wander. Acknowledge this and then gently bring the mind back to the here and now.
