Gratitude Attitude

grat·i·tude

/ˈɡradəˌt(y)o͞od/

noun

the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Cultivating gratitude can increase well-being and happiness and lead to greater energy, optimism, and empathy. Try implementing these three practices to develop a “gratitude attitude” and start reaping the benefits today!

  1. Keep a gratitude journal. Count your blessings by writing them down each day. Try not to repeat anything – you will learn to cultivate gratitude for even the little things in life.
  2. Write a thank you letter. Write a letter to one person you feel has impacted your life and thank them for the gifts (physical or not) they have bestowed on you.
  3. Take a gratitude walk. Take a 20 minute or longer walk and consider the things, people, and experiences you are grateful for. Pay attention to all your senses as you take in the scenery.
