Meditation – A vacation for your heart

Chronic stress can have a negative impact on the body, especially the heart. Taking a few minutes each day to relax mentally and physically may help lower risks of cardiovascular disease. In addition, meditation has been shown to reduce heart rate and blood pressure. Recent studies found that individuals with heart disease who practiced meditation regularly were 48% less likely to have a heart attack or stroke compared to those who didn’t practice meditation. Meditation is an ideal practice for heart health because it can be done anywhere. Embark on the journey to a healthier heart by trying one of these meditation styles.
