ACI Celebrates Mother’s Day – Part 1

The ACI Specialty Benefits team recently shared their #MomStories in honor of Mother’s Day – which is right around the corner! Take a look at the heartwarming, helpful and hilarious memories the team was excited to present.

As a mom, I seem to have a daily “Things I Never Thought I‘d Say” moment. For example:

“No wrestling at the store, wrestling is done at home.”

“You can stay naked while you eat dinner, but know that you could burn something you REALLY don’t want to burn.”

“Don’t sit on his head like that – he can’t breathe!”

(When my oldest asked why I have four kids) “Because I didn’t think things through.”

I’d like to share my favorite mom quote:

“Look with your eyes! Not with your mouth!”

My dad was in the Navy and was stationed overseas. My mom raised 3 boys and me, the only girl, in San Diego. She did the best she could, considering she worked a full-time job. She would wake us super early in the morning to ensure we ate breakfast and were ready for school. And so when we could not find our jackets or shoes, my brothers and I would bicker with each other, “Hey, did you see my (fill in the blank)?” My mom would use her super hearing capabilities (as all moms have) and yell, “Look with your eyes! Not with your mouth!” She was a tiny Filipino lady who spoke with a strong accent, so it sounded more like, “Hoy! Look wit chore eyes, and not wit chore mout!” I love my mom!
