Romance 101: ACI Does Valentine’s Day
With less than two weeks until the 14th, Valentine’s Day is on everyone’s mind – especially at the ACI office! The ACI team is happy to share their favorite Valentine’s stories and gift ideas.
To start the conversation, ACI’s Adora Horton explains one of the most thoughtful gifts she’s received.
“My husband Darrell threw a surprise birthday party for me at Buca di Beppo, and had cupcakes especially made for me – each representing a part of my life.
Row One: Georgetown University, where I got my Masters.
Row Two: I love volleyball -I played in college and now coach!
Row Three: I got my undergrad from UMES, and that is where I met Darrell
Row Four: I LOVE CHRISTMAS!
Row Five: I do not like the University of South Carolina.
Row Six: I LOVE Romance Novels and am writing one of my own!”

Wellness Specialist Kate Vidmar shared her special Valentine’s tradition:
“I love Valentine’s day! Every year I make homemade valentines and send them to family. Growing up, I would send them to aunts, uncles and grandparents. Now I send them to all of my siblings, parents and nephews.
This will be my 5th Valentine’s with my husband. I make him pink waffles for breakfast every year and he always makes me a nice a dinner. The best way to let someone know that you love them is to tell them! And that is what Valentine’s Day is all about.”
