Wellness Challenge Update: We’re Halfway There!

It’s official—ACI has reached the CORE Wellness Challenge halfway mark! After observing multitudes of healthy recipes being exchanged, ever-diligent studying for wellness quizzes and overall wellness mania still running rampant at ACI, it’s safe to say that no team has lost steam, but rather turned up the heat!

We sat down with five of our favorite wellness warriors to find out what their biggest healthy accomplishments have been so far as a result of participating in the challenge, as well as their goals regarding the remaining three weeks still to come.

Amanda Rodgers, Executive Assistant

Cutting back on sugar as much as I have has been a big accomplishment for me.  I’m also proud of myself for being able to cut myself off from junk food, especially later at night! Goal-wise, I would definitely like to lose a few more pounds! With my wedding coming up in the next three weeks, my biggest challenge will be to keep eating healthy, work out regularly and get plenty of sleep!

Keri Gutierrez, Provider Relations and Training Specialist

My biggest accomplishment—simply drinking water! I was never a big fan; taking part in the challenge and having to log my water intake has really motivated me to drink more water. I have noticed that I feel better and have more energy than before! As for these next three weeks, I really want to amp up my activity. Setting realistic goals with deadlines has helped me accomplish my goals and I have been trying to set a goal each week to work up to!

Kat Mullis, Account Manager

I’m currently running four miles a day and loving it! Definitely a big accomplishment for me. My goal for the future is simply to maintain what I’m doing; this will be the biggest challenge for me.  I’m going to try my best to stay on this health-kick for the last few weeks, and then beyond!

Chris Ortiz, Account Manager

My biggest healthy accomplishment has been seeing my abs coming in for the first time ever, and being able to fit into slim fit clothing – comfortably! My goal for the next three weeks is simple: complete the P90X program and reach my weight-gain goal!

Sandy Glashaw, Account Manager

My biggest healthy accomplishment is that I can do more pushups than week one, and am able to fit into my favorite pair of skinny red jeans! My wellness goal is to help my TEAM meet theirs! Whatever it takes…our motto has been “SLOW AND STEADY” since day one!
