CEO Dr. Ann Clark Wins Woman Breaking Barriers Award

ACI Specialty Benefits Founder and CEO Dr. Ann Clark is the 2019 winner of the Connected Women of Influence Woman Breaking Barriers Award. The Woman Breaking Barriers Award recognizes a woman who has utilized her position, stature, expertise and influence to break down barriers and affect positive change in her profession, industry or enterprise.

As founder of the first woman-owned EAP in the United States, Dr. Ann Clark knows first-hand what it takes to break barriers. A powerhouse entrepreneur in a male-dominated industry, Dr. Clark is a fierce example of everything it takes to build a business and never stop growing. Named “Business Woman of the Year” by San Diego Business Journal and “Lifetime Legacy” finalist at last years’ Women of Influence Awards, Dr. Clark continues to shake up the benefits industry. Year after year, ACI is consistently recognized in the Workforce EAP Hot List, a Top Ten ranking of the nation’s largest EAP providers, and has recently been honored with the CIO 100 Award and the EAPA “Best Use of Technology in Employee Assistance” award.

Women of Influence Award winners were announced on March 20, 2019 at the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley. Attendees included prominent business leaders, elected officials and women leaders from throughout San Diego County. The annual awards are hosted by Connected Women of Influence, the leading, invitation-only association where B2B women owners, executives and professionals connect, collaborate and cultivate a vast network of high-level affiliations, resources and professional relationships.
